SkyBet have slashed the odds on Roy Hodgson to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post to 2/1 from 10/1 following some heavy backing. After a woeful start under Hodgson, Liverpool looked to be putting their problems behind them ahead of the weekend, but a defeat at Newcastle has prompted further speculation that the former Fulham boss is set to leave Anfield.
Sky Bet have slashed the odds on Roy Hodgson to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post to 2/1 from 10/1 following some heavy backing.
After a woeful start under Hodgson, Liverpool looked to
be putting their problems behind them ahead of the weekend, but a defeat
at Newcastle has prompted further speculation that the former Fulham
boss is set to leave Anfield.
The online betting company has seen some strong backing for Hodgson
to depart and consequently make him second favourite to be the next
top-flight boss to go behind West Ham boss Avram Grant.
Sky Bet Football Odds Compiler Joe Petyt said: “It’s the second time
this season we’ve seen money for Hodgson to go. He managed to turn
results around slightly on the first occasion but he still remains
firmly under pressure.
“With people taking prices as short as 2/1 it makes you wonder if there might be something in it this time.”
