EPL betting pick: Back Under 2.5 Goals at 1.94 as well as the 0-0 (12.0) and 1-1 (7.2) options in the Correct Score market on Betfair on Blackpool v Birmingham match that will be played on 04 01 2011
There isn't anything that can be said about Blackpool that hasn't been said already; Ian Holloway and his men have been absolutely fantastic this season and I think I speak for (just about) the entire country when I say that I sincerely hope they avoid relegation.
On the road Blackpool are different gravy; their attacking mentality is brilliant to watch, and deservedly, it's been rewarded with five wins already (only Arsenal and Man City have recorded more away wins). But at Bloomfield Road Blackpool's form is a little harder to work out. For starters, the Tangerines haven't played at home for six weeks now, whilst their record of just two wins in six games is hardly inspiring. Birmingham meanwhile find themselves in the relegation zone after a run of just one win in 10 games. However, Brum have faced the top five clubs in the league in the last seven weeks and they are arguably a better side than their league position suggests.
I'm expecting a very close encounter when these two sides meet on Tuesday evening and I wouldn't be surprised at all if the points are shared. Birmingham City will soak up a lot of pressure and they will be hard to break down so for that reason I'm backing Under 2.5 Goals at 1.94 as well as the 0-0 (12.0) and 1-1 (7.2) options in the Correct Score marke
